Mrs. Adkisson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Texas Woman’s University. She has Missouri Career Certifications in Special Education Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical K-12, Early Childhood Special Education B-3 and English 9-12.
Mrs. Karlena Adkisson
Mrs. Adkisson’s is our library/media teacher.
She was also the administrator of Mountain Grove Christian Academy in Missouri for two years before coming to Richards. Before moving to Missouri Mrs. Adkisson taught at Pilot Point Independent School District in Texas from 2003-2012 in the areas of special education, English Language Arts as well as Test Prep classes. She also served as Special Education department head and Course Recovery Acceleration Program Coordinator.
Mrs. Adkisson currently lives on her comfy ten acre slice of heaven just off of highway 14 west with her husband, Danny. Mrs. Adkisson has three grown children Sharmyla (and her husband Shaun), Brannan (and his wife Brittney), and David who all currently live in the area. She is also blessed with three awesome grandkids: Savanah, Allison and Jensen.
